"Do not go upon what has been acquired by repeated hearing; nor upon tradition; nor upon rumor; nor upon what is in a scripture; nor upon surmise; nor upon an axiom; nor upon specious reasoning; nor upon a bias towards a notion that has been pondered over; nor upon another's seeming ability; nor upon the consideration that this monk is our teacher."  -  The Buddha, from the Kalama Sutta.

I am a writer.

I also work (or have worked) as a data analyst, a registered nurse (newborn, NICU, home care, and hospice), an IT manager, a privacy official, an educator, a home health aide, a roadie, a delivery person, a taxi driver and a cook.

I can otherwise be described as a computer geek, a native Texan, a New Yorker, a guitarist, a photographer, a buddha-dharma student, a web designer, a Japan-fan, a NCAA men's college basketball fan, a slow food advocate, and a bariatric surgery patient.

There are probably additional self-congratulatory adjectives I could use to influence your concept of who I am, but why add to the confusion?
